Every Reddit monitoring tool and lead generation tool compared with verified July 2026 pricing: F5Bot, Syften, Brand24, Octolens, ReplyGuy, Grabbit, and more.
Twelve tools currently compete to watch Reddit for you. They range from free email alerts to enterprise suites that run $699 a month and up, and their marketing pages all sound the same. The products underneath do not.
TL;DR: If you want free keyword alerts, run F5Bot. If you need multi-platform brand monitoring with reports, Brand24 or Octolens are the serious options. If the job is finding customers on Reddit specifically, use a lead generation tool that qualifies posts before alerting you, which is what we built Grabbit to do. Match the tool to the job, not the feature list.
We build one of the tools in this comparison, so read our take on the others knowing that. Every price below was re-checked against public vendor pages on July 21, 2026, and we link each one so you can verify current details.

Twelve rows hide one decision. Figure out which of two jobs you are hiring for, and eight rows disappear.
Monitoring answers "did someone say my keyword?" Lead generation answers "is this person about to buy something like my product?" The overlap looks large from the outside and is small in practice.
A raw keyword alert treats every match equally. That works for brand names, because almost every mention of your brand is worth seeing. It fails for intent phrases: track "CRM" across Reddit and most matches are people discussing work, not shopping for software. Paid semantic filters can reduce that noise; a dedicated lead workflow goes further by organizing qualification and action around the result. We explain that second job in what is Reddit lead generation.
So before comparing features, look at your last ten wins from Reddit, or imagine them. If they were "we responded to a brand mention fast," you need monitoring and should optimize for speed and price. If they were "we found someone asking for recommendations and replied first," you need lead generation and should optimize for signal quality.
Under the hood there are several discovery paths, and the boundaries have blurred as vendors add AI filters.
Keyword-led tools start from tracked terms and can add Boolean rules, exclusions, or AI refinement. Syften, Brand24, Leadline, Devi, and Reddit Monitor use versions of that model. Brand24 also offers intent filtering and Smart Context Search within its listening workflow, while Reddit Monitor lets you connect your own OpenAI-compatible key.
F5Bot supports both paths. Its free and Silver tiers center on keywords, while Gold and Platinum add direct AI monitoring: every new post or comment from selected subreddits can be evaluated against a natural-language filter without a keyword match. AI filters cover up to five subreddits each, and token usage above the included monthly credit is billed separately.
Project-context tools start from the business rather than a phrase list. Grabbit evaluates every new post in selected subreddits against the complete project context—product description, problems, solutions, and target audience—to score buyer intent and relevance. Lead discovery does not require keyword setup; keyword matches, mentions, and sentiment are separate monitoring signals. SubSignal uses semantic matching, while RedProwler applies a keyword prefilter before Claude scores survivors.
No path is automatically better. Exact matching is cheap and precise for brand names. Semantic filters catch paraphrases but depend on the description, scope, and limits around them. The useful comparison is what context gets evaluated, which content types are covered, and what workflow follows a match.
F5Bot has been the default free answer since 2015, and it earned that. Five keywords, email alerts, no credit card, and coverage of Hacker News and Lobsters. Two limits matter: free-tier alerts can arrive within two hours, and semantic AI filtering starts on the $49.99 Gold plan. Gold can directly evaluate posts and comments without keyword routing; our F5Bot alternatives guide covers its filter limits and metered usage.
Reddit Monitor is the most interesting free tool nobody has heard of. The self-serve app costs nothing, supports nested AND/OR filter logic, sends to Slack, Discord, Telegram, or webhooks, and lets you attach your own AI provider for relevance evaluation. The catch is that you are the operator: setup, tuning, and prompt-writing are on you, and the done-for-you version jumps to $299 per month.
Leadline is the budget surprise at $9 per month: hourly monitoring, three campaigns, and 100 AI-drafted replies a month. The drafts are suggestions you post yourself, which keeps it on the right side of Reddit's rules.
This group exists because GummySearch died in late 2025 and left the "find customers on Reddit" job without a default tool.
Grabbit is our entry, so we owe you the plain version of what it does and does not do. It evaluates every new post in the selected subreddits against the complete project context: product description, problems, solutions, and target audience. It scores buyer intent and relevance before a post reaches the lead queue. Lead discovery does not require keyword setup; keyword matches, mentions, and sentiment are separate monitoring signals. You reply from the dashboard with your own connected Reddit account, and the qualified stream is available to AI assistants through a Reddit MCP server.

The screenshot above shows 1,947 posts scanned in 30 days and 363 rated high or medium relevance. What Grabbit does not have today: comment-level lead classification, a public API, CSV export, or AI-written replies. Scans also run on an interval measured in minutes, not seconds, so a monitoring tool can beat it to an exact brand mention.
RedProwler runs a related playbook. Its free tier includes 50 leads per month, Pro is $29, and it drafts replies with Claude that you post yourself. It also exports CSV, which Grabbit currently does not. SubSignal starts free and pairs lead finding with shill and fake-account detection. Its $129 Professional tier adds Reddit DM automation, which should be evaluated separately against community rules. Redreach, from $19, finds Reddit threads that already rank on Google. Redreach also publishes a claim that a Reddit update removed roughly 70% of automated posting accounts; treat that percentage as vendor-reported rather than an independently verified Reddit statistic.
If Reddit is one channel among several you need to watch, a Reddit-only tool is the wrong shape.
Syften is the indie favorite, at $29.95 to $119.95 per month. It watches Reddit with a target delay under one minute, plus Hacker News, forums, GitHub, podcasts, and the wider web, and its top plan speaks MCP. It sends alerts and stops there: no lead scoring, no reply workflow.
Octolens is the developer-tools pick. Its USD pricing page showed $159 per month on July 21 for 15,000 mentions, hourly refresh, API, webhooks, and MCP; Scale was $499 with real-time refresh. Our July 16 capture showed $199 and $599, so verify the live selector before buying. Our Octolens alternatives breakdown covers the fit.
Brand24 is the enterprise option, and its pricing tells you who it is for: $249 per month buys three keywords, 2,000 mentions, and updates every 12 hours; real-time updates start at the $499 Pro plan. For a brand team tracking sentiment across 25+ platforms with reports for management, that trade can be fine. For a founder who mostly needs Reddit, it rarely is, and we wrote Brand24 alternatives for Reddit for that case.

Devi is the odd one out: a browser-extension suite built around Facebook groups, where Reddit is a ~€7.80 add-on module. If Facebook is your main channel and Reddit is an experiment, that ordering matches your life. If Reddit is the main event, it does not.
ReplyGuy starts at $10 per month and combines keyword tracking, AI selection, and generated replies. Its pricing table says auto-replies, but the official workflow clarifies that automatic publishing currently applies to X. Reddit replies are manual: copy the draft, publish it on Reddit, then mark it published in ReplyGuy.
That manual step is the right default. It lets a person check the thread, add specific context, disclose affiliation, and respect subreddit rules. Our ReplyGuy alternatives post compares its keyword-led workflow with full-context qualification and other drafting tools.
Run a one-week bake-off. Every tool here has a free tier, a trial, or a cheap first month, so pick two or three from the right category and give them the same inputs: the same subreddits, from a list you can rebuild with our subreddit finder guide, and the same keywords or product description.
Then count one number per tool: posts surfaced that you genuinely replied to. Not mentions caught, not alerts sent. Replies you actually wrote, because that is the unit of value in Reddit marketing, whether the goal is B2B pipeline or brand defense. A tool that surfaces 40 posts a week of which you answer 2 is worse than one that surfaces 8 of which you answer 5, whatever the feature tables say.
F5Bot, for most people. Five keywords and email alerts at no cost, with a 20-alert daily cap and roughly two-hour delivery on the free tier. Reddit Monitor is the stronger free option if you want Slack or Discord delivery and are comfortable configuring filters and your own AI key yourself.
Monitoring is per-mention: a keyword fires, you get an alert, you act on the single post. Reddit social listening is aggregate: sentiment trends, share of voice, and topic analysis across thousands of mentions. F5Bot and Syften are monitoring; Brand24 and Octolens do listening; lead generation tools are a third thing that neither term covers well.
Paid monitoring beats free for speed: Syften targets under one minute for Reddit, F5Bot's paid tiers deliver within five minutes or instantly, while F5Bot free runs up to two hours behind. We compared the options in more depth in the best way to track Reddit keywords.
Some generate drafts, but Reddit publishing should remain a human decision. ReplyGuy, Leadline, and RedProwler provide drafts that a user publishes manually on Reddit. Grabbit hands you the qualified thread without writing the response. Some higher tiers in the category advertise DM automation; review those features separately against Reddit and subreddit rules.
No single tool took over all three of its jobs. For audience research, start with how to do Reddit audience research; for keyword alerts, F5Bot or Syften; for lead discovery, Grabbit or RedProwler. Our GummySearch alternatives guide maps the migration in detail.
The Reddit tools market looks crowded until you sort it by job. Free alerts are solved: F5Bot. Multi-platform listening is solved at two price points: Syften cheap, Brand24 and Octolens serious. The open race is lead generation, where qualification quality is the whole product, and that is the race Grabbit is in.
Whichever category you land in, spend a week measuring replies-per-tool before you subscribe to anything annual. And if the job is finding buyers rather than counting mentions, join the Grabbit beta and run it against the same subreddits you would give any competitor.
